World history has seen a number of Unions, evolving powers heated up to a large extent by one thing – new economic opportunities. Starting from the fall of Berlin War followed by New Order centred around North Atlantic Corridor and shifting gravity towards Pacific corridor. Countries are not competing only at the “country level” instead they are confirming different trading blocks winning market share in global markets.

Professor Cortiсas is currently acting as consultant and Professor at different Business Schools in Europe and Latin America (e.g. IE, Catholic University in Chile, Catholic University and Universidad de San Andres in Argentina).
Until very recently, Professor Cortiсas was acting as Director of Market Development at the Global Security & Health Unit of Telefonica Digital, with responsibilities over more than 20 countries in America, and prior to that he was the Head of the Government & Health Sector at Telefonica Empresas America, covering clients in 15 countries in the LatAm region. He has been teaching continually at the Instituto de Empresa since 1992. During these last 18 years he has taught different courses in the field of marketing, mainly International Marketing, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Marketing & New Technologies, and Marketing for Telco & Digital Business.
Professor Cortiсas has an extensive experience in the international arena. After his graduation with Honours at the Catholic University in Buenos Aires in 1985, he lived in Germany, where he occupied managerial positions at a leading company in the equipments manufacturing industry; In 1990 he moved to Boston, MA, where he studied at Harvard Business School.
After completing his MBA degree in 1992, he moved to Spain, where he has lived since then, developing his professional career in different international corporations, joining the Telefуnica Group in 2001.
